Zager & Evans: In The Year 2525 1969 RCA 74-0174 Indianapolis 2-S/1-S Press VG

Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single from Zager & Evans titled "In The Year 2525 b/w Little Kids", originally released in 1969 by RCA Records. I bought this single used, professionaly cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then it was put into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The inner sleeve is graded as Very Good Plus because of small tears and wrinkles along the top. In the dead wax between the labels and the last track is etched "I", followed by the matrix numbers 2-S/1-S, indicating that early stampers were used to make this record at RCA's pressing plant, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of superficial sleeve marks and hairlines, none of which can be felt with a fingertip. I'm play grading this record between Very Good (Side Two) and Very Good Plus (Side One) because of some occasional pops and low levels of surface noise, most noticeable during the quietest sections of playback, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. It plays all the way through without any lock-ups or skips from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially an Indianapolis pressing.
