The items I will be selling from this point on are being sold from my estate and from the estates of friends and relatives. This WWII Japanese Bottle belonged to a friend of mine who recently passed away. He set aside vintage military items over the years. This bottle was on display with some Japanese cigarettes and personal items. I don't know for sure what it held originally but I would suspect liquor. This particular bottle was a direct WWII Vet purchased item years ago (see photos). Showing average use/wear the bottle has no cracks or chips and is well marked with Japanese characters (see photos). It is dark brown in color and measures 11.5 inches in height (see photos).The Japanese characters are mostly present near the enlarged area and around the 3 inch diameter base (see photos). This WWII Japanese bottle is guaranteed to be an original period piece as described. It shows average use/wear and the overall presentation is excellent. Great opportunity to get an unusual Japanese personal item for display with your militaria or field gear collection. I think this might be what the Japanese soldiers drank from before the Banzai charges. Probably could tell a great story.
