Description: This sale offers a vintage and original Canadian Army Cap badge for the Elgin Regiment raised in St. Thomas Ontario during World War II. The badge is made from brass and the lugs are in place. The cap badge measures 4.5cm x 4cm (1-3/4" x 1-1/2"). Very good condition - see scans and feel free to ask questions, has a small area of discoration in the lower right corner. This insignia is 75 years old! This is not a re-strike - it is original issue. During the war, the Elgin Regt. served as a tank delivery squadron and served at Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and Northwest Europe from 1943-1945.
