Description: Up for sale is the top of the line Sony TC-KA7ES 3-Head Cassette Deck with Dolby B, C, S & HX Pro NR in working condition. The TC-KA7ES is the last of Sony's TOTL cassette deck and is for Japanese domestic market only. Therefore, it requires 100V and a step down converter is recommended. Cosmetically, it is in very good condition. The face plate is clean (pics #1-4). The case has various small dings and scratches on all three sides (pics #8-17). There is some corrosion on the bottom copper plated cover (pics #18-20), although this does not affect the electronics inside (pics #6 and 7). Please refer to all the pictures for the cosmetic details. Functionally, it is in working condition. Two belts were replaced and parts were lubricated. The heads are in good condition (pic #5) and were demagnetized. Playback was tested with prerecorded albums as well as type I and II tapes recorded on other decks. Record was tested with both type I and II tapes. FF and REW as well as AMS for both directions were tested. There is a slight issue when calibrating tape for recording where I could not get the HIGH and MID to line up. However, when adjusted to the proper level, the recording sounds excellent. The deck will be packed in fitted foam and shipped via FedEx Ground.
