Wonderful Antique 20" Heinrich Handwerck 99 German Doll

Description: Offered is this nice antique 20" German Heinrich Handwerck doll. She is mold number 99. I love her inquisitive look! She has a gorgeous bisque head with nice blushing of her cheeks. Finely painted eyelashes surround her eyecups. Original blown glass brown sleep eyes have been set with plaster so they no longer sleep. Dark multi-stroke eyebrows enhance those wonderful brown eyes. Open mouth with four upper teeth. Pierced ears, she is lacking earrings. Slight chipping on her right earring hole. No hairlines, damage or restoration to her bisque head. Her gorgeous human wig and pate are original to her and still retain the original silk ribbons. Incised on the back of her head " 99 11 HANDWERCK Germany 2 1/2".Her composition and wood body was repainted at some point and it appears some light repair was done on one lower leg knee joint area. The hands appear to be slightly different, so I am assuming one was replaced. Body is structurally sound and nicely strung. She wears a wonderful antique pink and lavender silk dress. She came in it, it could possibly be original to her. Drop waisted with a large Peter Pan collar. Lace trim. Overall condition is good with a few splits here and there. The main damage is to her right arm where reinforcing stitches were put in to maintain the split area. One back tie is partially torn off, but still ties appropriately. Her shoes and socks are vintage. Lovely girl who displays wonderfully.
