Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE You are purchasing a very nice hardback copy of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, which is SIGNED and INSCIRBED by illustrator Michael Hague. Even better, there is a HAND DRAWN IMAGE OF THE SCARECROW DRAWN BY ILLUSTRATOR MICHAEL HAGUE, on the first blank white page of the book, facing the ‘Wizard of Oz’ title page. The drawing is dated, and as I look at his artistic handwriting, it looks to be ‘1984’. The drawing fills the page and is beautifully and simply rendered. It just pops! A very nice hard-to-find touch for this classic book. As for the book itself, it measures 8 ¼” x 10 ¼”, and is 219 pages. It is PACKED with full color illustrations by Hague, whose style is pleasant and whimsical and colorful all at the same time. There is NO dustcover for this book. Condition: Very Good. Binding is tight, pages are bright. No writing inside except the drawing and inscription and signature by the illustrator, Michael Hague. Some light handling is apparent, but very little or no visible handling or scuffing on the high gloss covers. But book corners show minor wear but are nice. If I am being picky, there are some hairline cracks in the front cover material at the edges of the binding at the top and bottom, resulting from the book having been opened wide. But I had to use magnification in order to see this. I would say, this is a very nice copy. Hardly touched. This book is not an ex-library book. I am not a book exchange company or Goodwill, where books are played out or pretty much ‘well fingered’ and obviously handled a lot. I mail items surrounded by cardboard, unlike some sellers that drop it in a thin plastic bag and call it good. I want it to arrive in the same condition you see in the photos.
