Description: Waveless waterbed tubes have some foam in them to make the bed firmer. These do have marking lines on them for suggested fill levels. We always filled them up in the bathtub and just put the tablet in and capped them off before carrying each one to the waterbed. Currently the tubes are blue but sometimes the color does vary. Each tube is 71 inches without water in it. if you have a very old waterbed that had golden tubes those were usually 66 inches long. Please let us know so we can list some shorter ones just for you. These are designed to go in a Queen or a Standard King soft sided waterbed. Those beds have foam bolsters around the sides. The foam is covered up with a soft sided bed liner. For a Queen Waterbed you need 8 total and for a King Waterbed you will want 11 of these types of tubes. Each one filled takes up about 6.5 inches of the width inside of the bolsters. Usually, a 2-inch piece of foam is sold with the soft sided bed as these are only about 4 inches tall. You may not even know it is in the bed as typically when the bed is first assembled the foam is put in with the bolsters and then the liner and last the tubes. Sometimes the foam is on the top of the tubes also to make a firmer bed. If you use a soft sided heater it goes under the liner.
