We will be listing all in the coming weeks. Please check back to see these exquisite pieces. We purchased 4 Antique/Vintage Chinese pieces at this Estate Sale. We had never seen pieces like these before. The family were world travelers and the house was filled with high end Antique items. We have researched these items to try and determine their age but have not had much luck. The family members said they traveled all over the world and brought back many Antiques and Vintage treasures. We can only describe what we see and the condition, not the age, artist or any other specifics. Hopefully you collectors will be able to determine some of those things, This auction is for a painted Temple Roof ornament, or Temple Wall Tile that is depicting a mythological warrior-figure Standing guard. This kind of sculpture was traditionally placed on the terra cotta roof of a Chinese temple as a protective guardian-figure, or would hang inside the Temple. This piece is handpainted with beautiful detail and texture to the warrior's clothing and outfit. Dimensions are approx. 12" H x 5.5" W x 3" D As far as the condition, from the front (visible side) it appears to have no issues or damage. We see a hairline crack area on the back side, where the dress collar on his outfit is near his shoulder. This piece has been priced accordingly based on that area even though it is not visable from the front. The weight is just short of 2 lbs. The pieces age is unknown, but it is certain to be a unique and meaningful piece for any collector of Asian antiques. Add this stunning warrior figurine to your collection today!
