Description: VTG Sklo Union Czech Glass Cube Candle Holder Op Art 60s Rudolf Jurnikl. 1960s op-art cube shape glass candle holder or decorative object. The square block of solid glass has round bowl shape depressions on each side creating beautiful light effects. The top has an opening for a candlestick but in fact any side could conceivably be used, eg for a tealight candle. The cube measures 9 cm each side - 3.54". In very good condition, dating from 1965. There are two very minor flea bites noted on bottom base. This is Bohemian (Czech) glass, made by glass manufacturer Rudolfova Hut (later part of Sklo Union) and this gorgeous design is by Rudolf Jurnik. Please view photos as part of description.
