VTG Redline 20” MX-II Clone (1989 Frame) BMX Bike Complete (Read description)

Description: READ FULL DESCRIPTION!! SO-this is a Redline with serial number B90073234. (After a tip from an EBay member here-it seems the frame is an ‘89 model year). SO-with that, consider this an “MX-II Clone” from another Redline frame. The bike was “restored” by someone with very heavy black powdercoat as you can see how thick it it’s where it was removed from the bottom bracket shell. The RL stamping can be seen through the powdercoat on the headtube/downtube gusset. The frame and fork does not appear to have any damage-but I’ve obviously not seen it in bare metal. There is no crush or dents visible anywhere on the frame and no signs that it ever had a kickstand mounted. Please review the photos. (If anyone has any additional details on what this frame certainly is-please let me know.) Separate of those details which I thought would be most critical to a buyer about the frame-here’s some details on this rider. The SR MS-422 stem is in nice shape as are the handlebars which have nice chrome overall. The old Taiwan grips are faded but in nice shape. The MX brakes are a later version but I think the ⭐️-Star MX lever is old. The red anodized chainring has some scuffs and fading and the HTI 802 pedals have been painted as they’re pretty well used and the bearing cap is absent from the right pedal. It has a KMC chain. The cranks appear to have been cleaned up with steel wool at one point. The wheels are in good shape I think-but I’m not very familiar with mags. They have the selectable disengagement for the freewheel/coaster that works like it should. The Scrambler 1000 tires hold air and can be ridden on-but the sidewalls show dry cracking while the black rubber looks good and is supple. Overall-this is a great “rider” for someone. I do not want to part this bike out, but will if the prices are right for individual parts. If anyone needs closer detailed photos, please ask.
