Description: Today I am offering this fabulous and hard-to-find set of seven vintage Metlox Colorstax plates. They are salad plates with a subtle concentric ring pattern. There are 7 different colors. One each of sage green, mauve-plum, bright yellow, salmon-peach, terra cotta orange, rose-pink, and aqua or turquoise blue. These are not official color names of this brand. Just my own observations. The colors are rich and saturated and they have a smooth glossy finish. They are all the same size at approximately 7 inches across the top. This size could also be considered for use as appetizer/bread/dessert or cake plates. The Metlox Colorstax name and "Handcrafted Made in California USA Metlox Potteries" is on the underside of each piece. It also says these beautiful pieces are Dishwasher, Microwave, Freezer and Oven, safe. However, I personally would hand wash them to retain the glossy finish. This bundle is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The underside rims have no visible shelf wear. You can see the three pottery marks from the kiln on the underside of each piece. The yellow plate has a very small chip on the rim. I've pointed to that flaw with a red arrow in a close-up picture. Please keep in mind that they are about 40 years old. This is a discontinued product manufactured from the early to later 1980s.
