Description: Fresh from a local estate is a beautiful vintage 1920's era silk crepe and velvet burnout dress.There was a note stored with it "Mother's dress worn in 1925". This is such an interesting pattern and quality construction; it is a burgundy silk crepe with olive gold velvet circles.There are pleated kick pleats on both sides of the hem, the cuffs snap and have a triangle pattern.This measures laid flat 21" across the bust pit to pit, 21" across the mid section, 38" long, 19" sleeves and 20" between the back shoulder seams.In my opinion, this is very wearable. There are decades old repairs under the armpits, repairs of the side on the pleats and a L shaped tear in the back of the dress that I did not touch. There are also a few small tears in the silk on one shoulder, see pictures.The first set of pictures were taken outside in the sun, the last close up pictures of the repairs are a little more accurate in color.This is a beautiful dress that will make a fine addition to any collection!
