Description: Vtg 1951-1964 Frankenthal Wessel Dresden Art Style Lace Man Figurine ~ Germany This is a vintage Frankenthal Wessel "Dresden Art" style figurine of a victorian man with lace on his cuffs and scarf. This is not the Frankenthal that was produced in the 1700's but a factory in Germany that was started by Friedrich Wilhelm Wessel in 1949 and it was closed in 1964. You'll notice that it is marked "Dresden Art" on the bottom but my research shows that he was not allowed to use that and got in trouble for doing so. This mark was used from 1951-1964 until the factory closed. This figurine has no chips or cracks but it is missing 2 fingers on his left hand which you can see in the last photo.
