Description: This is a Voigtlander Bessamatic SLR with 50mm f/2.8 Color-Skopar X interchangeable lens. Both a wide-angle and a telephoto lens were made for the Bessamatic. They are usually available on eBay. The Bessamatic uses a behind-the-lens shutter and therefore can synchronize with flash up to its 1/500 shortest speed. The camera has a selenium cell meter, which seems to be working well. I recommend you test it, however, before relying on its accuracy. Exposure is set via match-needle in the finder. The camera is operating properly in all respects. The glass is good, free of fungus oil or haze. Overall the camera is in Excellent cosmetic condition except for a small amount of corrosion on the outside of the lens housing (see last photo). Voigtlander was founded in 1756, before the invention of photography. It began making cameras in 1840. Eventually in 1965 Voigtlander merged with Zeiss-Ikon. It has always had an outstanding record for quality and innovation. One can feel the precision when holding the Bessamatic and listening to its operation. This vintage Voigtländer camera is a must-have for any film photography enthusiast. With a classic silver design and manual focus, this 35 mm camera is perfect for capturing timeless moments. The brand is well-known for its quality and this camera is no exception. It's ideal for both beginners and experienced film photographers. Take stunning photos with ease using this camera. Its simple yet elegant design makes it perfect for any occasion. Whether you're a professional or just looking to capture some special memories, this Voigtländer camera is the perfect choice.
