The ten Hail Mary beads are smooth, round, genuine Sodalite with is a blue stone with swirled white or gray markings. Sodalite is a beautiful stone that reminds me of a blue sky with clouds, or like the earth looks from space. The single Our Father is a white glass pearl.The chaplet is about 9-1/2" long and comes gift boxed, and with a Virgin of Loreto prayer card, St Benedict prayer card, plus a Gift bag and tissue paper, rosary and Divine Mercy pamphlets and carry pouch. According to tradition, when the childhood home of Mary in Nazareth was threatened by the Saracen invaders in the 13th century, who were intent upon destroying all Christian relics and places of worship, angels "flew" it to a safe place in Loreto, Italy, where today it is enshrined in a church and venerated by the faithful as the place of the Annunciation.
