WWMS is a radio station in Cleveland that was known for its "coffee break concerts" at 11 am on Wednesdays. The Buzzard logo came about in April of 1974 as the economic state of Cleveland was declining. By 1975, it was Cleveland's most recognized logo ahead of Chief Wahoo. WMMS was a big reason as to why the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in Cleveland as they introduced the world to acts such as Bruce Springsteen, Roxy Music, David Bowie, Rush among others. WMMS won Rolling Stones Magazines "Radio Station of the Year" award 9 years running from 1979-1987.They are the current FM home to the Cleveland Cavilers and the Cleveland Guardians nee Indians.
