Vintage White Leather Chicago Roller Skates No 78 Size 7 + Metal Case, Book 1948

Description: Vintage white leather roller skates in nice condition! I believe the size is women’s size 7. These are made in the United States and come with the original metal carrying trunk. Also included is a 1948 publication of “Secrets of Rink Skating”. The skates are Chicago brand. I am not sure of an age, but would estimate similar to the included publication. Numbers are printed inside the skate and on the tongue as shown in pictures. There is also a patent on the bottom of each skate. Leather is in good shape and is not too stiff. Original insoles are removed. There are some scuffs on the leather - they have only been lightly cleaned, you may be able to make them sparkle more! The case is original and in good shape for its age. It is. Metal case. Two latches on the front lock and open as they should, the middle latch with the keyhole does not close. Case has some rust as can be seen, but is very functional looks nice overall. Lined with paper on the inside as well. Case is approximately 15.25” x 5.5” x 11”. Book included is in nice shape, has collected some dust over time. All pages seem to be intact. As with the other items, shows normal wear for its age. This is a fun book offering tips on roller skating as well as diagrams for skate dance steps. Has some folds, but does not appear to be ripped. Published in 1948. In the case, this item weighs just over 11 pounds. Local pickup is always an option if feasible and preferable!
