Vintage Vulcain 20 ATM Divers Chronograph w/Warm Patina,All SS Case,Valjoux 23

Description: ***********According to the previous owner the Valjoux 23 was serviced approximately 3 years ago. Pictures of the movement can be provided upon request. The bezel is not original to this watch.***********This seldom seen vintage Vulcain two-register chronograph has a near mint matte black "SWISS MADE" signed dial and original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a short-lived glow on the hands only after being exposed to bright light, that has aged gracefully over time. The Pepsi bezel, which is not original and does not rotate, complements the dial beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows minor wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "STAINLESS STEEL INCABLOC WATERPROOF ANTIMAGNETIC 12015" with what appears to be "2066" followed by "TESTED AT" and "20 ATM" stamped in the center. The crystal shows scratching.While I typically show pictures of the movements of watches that I put up for sale the case back is torqued too tight for me to remove. According to the previous owner the movement received a service approximately 3 years ago. Subsequent to being serviced pictures of the movement were taken prior to torquing the case back tight. These pictures can be provided upon request. The 17 jewels Swiss Valjoux 23 manual wind movement keeps accurate time with all chronograph functions working perfectly as they should. The top pusher starts and stops the sweep seconds hand while the bottom pusher resets it along with the minute register (right subdial). Both pushers have a pleasant catch and release feel with no signs of gumminess. After recently winding the sharply threaded, non-screwdown crown 47 full revolutions (impressive for a manual wind) the movement had a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The crown winds buttery smooth. This watch measures approximately 38 mm excluding the crown, approximately 42 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 12 mm. This watch comes on a period correct NOS SUB band. Although the movement was serviced several years ago and is currently keeping accurate time with all functions working as they should there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.
