Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Vintage Desk organizer. This is a nice vintage Victorian style tabletop stationary letter caddie organizer cabinet. This is vintage and is NOT new. It is in the antique style vintage reproduction that is the style that could be seen on desks in the Victorian period. Made of wood. This is cabinet has 2 slanted front doors that open up revealing a shapely interior to organize your letters, cards, or whatever. The very top also is hinged and flips up for larger pieces. Inside the side flaps have elastic material in a diamond pattern to slip pictures, notes, or other small items. Just at the bottom inside the cabinet, above the drawer, is a small curved area to hold a pencil or pen. It has one green felt lined lower drawer. The bottom drawer only opens when the cabinet doors are as it was made this way to keep drawer closed when moving around). The interior looks like mahogany( dusty in pics). The exterior was painted a flat black at one time. Hinges and hardware are brass. The pulls are brass and in a Chinese style. Nice vintage piece that is still functional today. Just put letters bills etc... inside and close up to help clean up desk. Measures about 16" long, 8 1/4" deep, and 11 1/2" tall closed. Guaranteed old and vintage.
