Vintage Uncas Sterling Silver Multi Marcasite & Fushia Red Glass Stone Ring Sz 3

Description: This is a lovely vintage pre-owned ring made by Uncas in the USA from solid sterling silver & set with multi Marcasites (all present) & a beautiful Fushia Red most likely glass stone (marked sterling with the Uncas symbol & Made in USA on inside of ring). It is bezel set with the red stone in the center surrounded by a total of 12 Marcasites set in the surround. It is a size 3. Red stone measures approx. 18mm x 10mm at longest/widest points while Marcasites are approx. 1.5mm round. At longest/widest points in front ring is approx. 29mm x 21mm, it is approx. 6mm at shoulders tapering to approx. 2mm at smallest point in rear. Please note I do not think this red stone is a Dragon's Breath Opal even though it looks similar to one. It has no blue/purple coloration to it at all. If you take a look at the 2 photos of it on my hand, you can see it has an opalescent/translucent quality to it but is devoid of any blue/purple coloring. Reminds me a little of a cat's eye but in a raspberry color.Great looking vintage ring in good pre-owned condition. Some scratching due to age/use & could benefit from a cleaning.Comes with a ring box (not original to ring).
