Description: Here's a very rare and well crafted toy called the "PALMOCRAFT" with US Patent # 2,237,912 awarded toDixon Palmones in 1941. This craft closely resembles the patent drawing with a wild, futuristic hull/deck designand wind driven by a large wooden 3 blade prop connected via a solid wire driveshaft to a metal 2 bladed propellerin the stern. All spin freely.I have only seen one other similar craft and have no idea how many may have been produced. This one is in remarkably good shape only needing a piece of the keel replaced, with the piece still with the boat. I have seen evidence that these were madein Alstead, New Hampshire, but finding further information proves very difficult. I have only removed a layer of dust and grime from this and a further cleaning may be desired by a new owner. This would certainly be a centerpiece American wooden wartime toy example in any collection !!
