Description: Vintage Tony Weller Pitcher Creamer TOBY JUG Burleigh Ware Burgess Leigh England A toby jug from the Burleigh Ware line, produced by Burgess & Leigh of Burslem England. It is depicting Tony Weller, a character from Charles Dickens novel Pickwick Paper. Made of a ceramic/earthenware, measures about 5 1/4" x 3 1/4" x 3 3/4". Has been pre-enjoyed but in really nice condition with no chips, cracks or staining. There is a manufacturer flaw on the rim - trapped clay under the glaze.
