Description: Vintage Tektronix 581A oscilloscope. This is a working scope in nice condition with an 85 MHz bandwidth. Nice cosmetically but a bit dusty inside. Both traces are clear but are low and right on the screen even when the vertical control is turned all the way up. It has a lot of tubes which I have not tested. It draws 4 amps when fully operational, which is good! The fan works but needs an air filter. A fairly rare unit in working condition! A wide bandwidth for a 500 series scope! Plugin unit is type 82. A very capable scope. I have not tested all its functions as that would be involved. Electrical function not guaranteed due to age. One lift handle has come partially unsewn but the metal strap inside it is secure. I can take it to FedEx office and have them professionally pack it and ship it. That way, any damage is on them. I got their packing fee and it is included in the ebay calculated shipping cost. I know it is expensive to ship but it is heavy and it takes a big box to protect it properly.
