Description: H961 is for my reference. The frog was taken off a type 17 Stanley no 4 bench plane. 2" wide. Will fit stanley no 4 and 5 bench planes type 16-20. This is a wartime era frog. It lacks rear frog bracket and hole to mount it. has a 1" steel depth knob. They used a small steal depth knob on some models made during the war to save the metal for the war. Same with the rear frog adjustment, they would stop using it for a few years to save on material. The frogs complete and all parts move as they should. Period correct type 17. Comes as seen in pics.
