Description: For auction is a pair of vintage Snap-on (#HCP-48-A) pliers that first saw use in the late 1950's-early 60's. They were used in a commercial garage that did a considerable amount of auto cooling system repairs. In those days there were not hose clamps that tightened with screwdrivers. Instead, auto water hose clamps were tension based. Pliers would be used on the metal "wings" of the tightly tensioned metal rings so that the hoses could be shimmied off of what they were attached to. Using regular pliers was was very difficult so this was a must tool. These hose clamp pliers are in very good condition considering they were first used in the 1950's or early 60's. The only notable flaw is a node that can be seen in the last photo.Payment is expected no later than 48 hours after the auction has ended or immediately if the buy it now option is offered.
