Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - The ETA 2452 automatic movement runs briefly after the watch has been gently spun face down on a flat surface. As clearly seen in the pictures the crown/stem is missing. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.***********This seldom seen vintage 1960/70's ROX diver has a matte black "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows light wear. Majority of the imperfections seen are on the damaged crystal. The lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to an orange hue. The black and red accented bezel shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension. The chrome-plated case (the case back is all steel) shows honest wear and brassing. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "GROUND ALL STEEL SWISS MADE SUPER-WATERPROOF ANTIMAGNETIC INCABLOC AUTOMATIC" with "20 ATMOS" followed by "1030" stamped in the center. The crystal needs to be replaced. The 25 jewels Swiss ETA 2452 automatic movement runs after the watch has been gently spun face down on a flat surface. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the tube, approximately 37 mm including the tube and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 9.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 11.5 mm. The lug to lug distance measures approximately 41 mm. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now.
