Description: ***********The manual wind movement runs about 2 minutes slow by the end of its approximate 35 hour power reserve period. After winding the crown it's necessary to gently spin the watch face down on a soft, flat surface in order to jump-start the seconds hand. When the movement is running it's a bit loud, not uncommon with manual wind movements of this era. A complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.*********** This vintage Rouan De Luxe Calendar has a silvery champagne "SWISS MOVT" and "HONG KONG MADE DIAL" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear. The lume, which is missing from some of the dial plots, emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light. The significantly worn down stealth silver bezel rotates smoothly bidirectionally. The chrome-plated case shows honest wear. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "WATERRESISTANT ANTIMAGNETIC | SWISS MOVT | STAINLESS STEEL BACK | UNBREAKABLE MAINSPRING" with "CASE MANUFACTURED BY HUNG KEE METAL HONG KONG." The crystal should be replaced. The 1 jewel manual wind movement runs strong, albeit slow, and the red date wheel rolls over at 12 am. This movement does not have a semi-quickset date function. When the movement is running it's a bit loud, not uncommon with manual wind movements of this era. After recently winding the non-screwdown crown 30 full revolutions the movement lost about 2 minutes by the end of its approximate 35 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. It's necessary to gently spin the watch face down on a soft, flat surface after winding the crown in order to jump-start the seconds hand. A complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10.5 mm. A complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.
