Description: Here is a very nice Robert Elliston of Bureau Illinois mallard Drake duck decoy. Circa 1880-1910ish. This older restoration has some great paint on it. Whoever restored this many many years ago did an excellent job. Notice the thick paint with brush marks for the feather look and the thick comb paint on the white of the back, sides and belly. Original Elliston weight. 16 inches long and weighs 1 lb 12 ounces. The tip of the tail is chipped off but this fabulous decoy displays well.
