Description: Sunny Sue is a happy looking doll. Her smile lights up the room. She is a black doll made by Janie Bennett, JANADA Dolls. I met her at a craft show in Tennessee at the fairgrounds. She was selling her dolls. She sculpted their faces in clay and then made them in resin. She painted them and dressed them. And I had a fit over them. This was in the early 1980s. About the time Arnettes got started. They were there too. Their faces are so lifelike. And their clothes are made like you would for children. Perfect. She has a navy and white plaid dress with long sleeves and a full apron in an off white with navy stars. The apron has a full ruffle all the way around and ruffles over her shoulders. She has a muslin slip with an eyelet ruffle around the edge. She has panalets I muslin with an eyelet ruffle. She is wearing black lace up boots. I have 6 different dolls in this series. All different and all precious. I’m 82 and having to downsize my wonderful collections. Thanks for looking.
