Description: Vintage Pennsylvania Turnpike souvenir tea cup and saucer hand painted in Japan. Neither piece has a backstamp, the tea cup has a paper label that just says Japan. I think they date to the early 1940's because the turnpike was finished in October 1, 1940 and was touted as America's First Superhighway and an engineering marvel. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Please view all photos.
