Description: Vintage Original Sacred Heart of Jesus Oil Painting Picture Christianity Religious Christ 1950s Condition:This is a beautiful naive painting of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is an original oil painting on a thin piece of canvas. It is matted with a thin, paper mat and framed in an oak wood frame. It has a message on the back that says, "1953-1954 Done in Nursing Training Mate Give to Sister Ricardia St. Anthony's Pocatello". I don't see a signature but the young nurse in training painted it as a gift for Sister Ricardia which I think is super sweet. It dates to the 1950s. It measures 17.25" tall x 13.5" wide with the frame. It weighs 1 lb 8 oz. It is in good condition. There is a tear in the mat on the bottom. There is also some damage to the background above the head of Jesus. It would be an easy touch-up for someone familiar with painting. It has some signs of wear. However, the sweet faith that inspired this original artwork is touching, and something that cannot be reproduced. Please see the photos for specifics on eh condition of this lovely painting.
