Description: VINTAGE NATIVE AMERICAN ALASKAN ESKIMO DOLL WITH HUNTING SPEAR AND STOCKINETTE FACE c.1950's. GOOD VINTAGE EXAMPLE.WELL-LOVED DOLL MEASURES APPROX 13" IN. TALL. HAS STOCKINETTE FACE AND YARN EMBROIDERED FADED YARN HAIR AND FACIAL DETAILS. THE HANDS ARE ALSO STOCKINETTE. THE BODY IS SOFT AND I THINK THIS IS STOCKINETTE STUFFED AS WELL, RABBIT PARKA OUTFIT. THE WOOD SPEAR HAS A BENT TIP MADE OF THIN TIN ALUMINUM AND IT BENDS QUITE READILY AND IS ALREADY BENT SOMEWHAT. THE LEGS ARE SUEDE GRAINED LEATHER AND THE MUKLUKS ARE RABBIT HAIR. THE RABBIT IS ARCTIC TUNDRA HARE BOTH WINTER AND SUMMER COATS WERE USED TO WRAP DOLL IN PARKA FOR UNIQUE LOOK. I SEE A VERY OLD SCHOOL SEWN HANDMADE DOLL.THE DOLL IS SOFT LIGHTWEIGHT AND FLOPPY AND DOES NOT STAND, NEEDS A DOLL STAND IF CABINET DISPLAYED.
