Vintage Model Sandwich Engine Builders Project Parts Hit Miss Engine

Please READ full description as I am going to do my best to describe this little project but do us both a favor and examine every photo for the absolute best description. I bought this engine awhile back thinking it would possibly be a “easy” project and I simply do not have the time, the right tools, and the skills to finish such a thing currently. This engine was “started” on and never “finished” by a builder who I believe didn’t quite know what he was doing and did not know what he was getting himself into so I believe many things could have been machined/done quite differently. - The story I got from the person I purchased it from was that it started as a casting kit which he bought in the late 90s at a show here in southeast IA I recently found a large stack of paperwork/blueprints that I show a couple pictures of in the last 2 photos. There are many pages and drawings. Too many to take pictures of! All of the paperwork is included. - The flywheels do not have key ways installed therefore I will be removing the flywheels for a safer shipment. - The skids are not bolted to the engine, (there is 4 studs that screw into underneath the base of the engine), the skids are included. - Every little piece and Miscellaneous hardware in the pictures is included. - Not sure what the green square box is for but maybe a fuel tank? - crank, gears, and piston do rotate/move. - Flywheel Diameter is about 9 1/4” - Crank cover is broke where it attaches to block. - I really think every little mechanical and moving part on this engine will need some sort of tinkling, adjusting, and work. Please take in consideration what this engine may or will need before purchasing as it is most likely missing something as well. This engine is a non running, a project, and is being sold as is. This item will be VERY well packed and a signature will be needed on delivery. Thanks for looking.
