Description: Vintage MIDO MULTIFORT SUPER AUTOMATIC Bumper, Movement 817, 17 Jewels, Ca. 1950s, Working. The movement is stamped: MIDO LIMITED, 817, 17 Jewels and is nice, clean and working. The rustless steel case is in excellent condition and measures 35.90mm from lug to lug and 28.50mm not including the crown. The outside caseback is stamped: MIDO MULTIFORT SUPER AUTOMATIC, RUSTLESS STEEL, SWITZERLAND. Inside caseback is stamped: Brit. Pat. 385509, Mido Limited, Switzerland, Rustless Steel and serial # 1430692. Between the lower lugs is stamped with the number: 0692. The tropical dial has a wonderful coppery hue. The silver arrow hour markers, hands and all lettering are in very good condition. The glass crystal is NOS. The vintage Tops Starline stainless steel expansion band the watch came with is in excellent condition and looks to be original to the watch. Included, and free of charge is a tan saddle leather NOS band that complements the watch dial nicely. This is a vintage watch without service records. I cannot guarantee the accuracy, longevity or waterproofing and should be serviced by a competent watchmaker.
