Description: This listing is for a stunning hand-painted Middle Eastern brass coffee / tea service with ewer-style pitcher, tray, and 5 small fluted cups. The material is brass with etched geometric designs, a dark finish, and tiny embossed colorful hand-painted dots. This belonged to my neighbor and looks quite old. The handle in particular looks hand-shaped. It is unmarked as best I can tell, but clearly Middle Eastern in origin, probably Turkish. Measurements: The pitcher is 10.75" tall and 7.5" wide (handle to spout), with a body about 3" in diameter. The tray is 11.75" in diameter. Cups are 3" tall and 1.75" in diameter. The entire set weighs about 2.5 pounds. Condition: Signs of wear consistent with age and use. The tray has a large spot where the dark finish has worn off allowing the brass to show through. There are several spots of oxidation on tray, pitcher, and cups. However, this set looks great on display and is perfectly functional: the pitcher is sturdy, watertight (does not leak) and a lot of fun to pour.
