Description: This is a MASON'S half gallon canning fruit jar. No cracks or chips. The glass is fairly clear. One photo shows it may have a light green tint. The writing on the front was hard to photograph. It says Mason's , Patent Nov. 30th, 1858. No number on the bottom. Has a zinc lid with milk glass insert. Has bubble glass. Not cleaned, as I found it many years ago, from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Has an old label on the back which described what was kept in the jar and I don't know what that is. It is approximately 9.5" tall and about 4.5" in diameter. Shipping is by USPS Ground Advantage. The price is by postal zones so the further you are from me, the more it costs. I can't control that.
