Description: A very nice, early (ish) Marples M4 Plane. I'd guess at this being around WW2 era, the plane has a red body and a black frog. It's been cleaned up including all small parts. Handles have been gently rubbed down and waxed and are buttery smooth. The front has a previously glued break at the base and seems perfectly stable. I replaced the cutter with a newer one, both the cap iron and cutter have the original protective coating on which I have not removed. The plane tested pretty well and will perform much better with a properly sharpened cutter. I have an older vintage M5 also for sale (at the time of writing). I will happily combine postage costs where I can. Thank you for looking.
