Description: Plastic. How tacky. What ever happened to Italian craftsmanship (this salt was obtained in Rome, in 1964)? My guess is that this was never used in any of the Medici's castles... In any case, if you’re holding a kitsch party, this will fill the bill nicely. Excellent condition (it was in a collection, not in daily use). It is slightly yellowed with age.
