Description: Vintage Couesnon Lafayette Brass Trumpet with original patina. If you don’t care about the patina, it will be. Gorgeous when polished. Marked “Made in Paris France by Couesnon”. I believe this is designed for students but that is just a guess as I am not knowledgeable about musical instruments. I am not sure if the key (Eb) is correct. It comes with the original Carrying Case & two excellent vintage mouthpieces. The trumpet is about 19” long without the mouthpiece; the horn is about 5” wide. Trumpet horn is marked “Lafayette made by Couesnon Paris France 397-2. Where the mouthpiece is inserted it is marked “N 75 (in a circle) S”. There is one small ding in the horn shown in last photo. Minor scratches from wear. One mouthpiece is labeled “F. BESSON Paris NO 5”. The second mouth piece is marked “VINCENT BACH CORP 7C”. Case needs repair to one leather handle strap. Valves have mother of pearl and work freely without sticking but the pads (if that’s the correct term) may need repair. This was purchased at an estate sale in Fairfax, Virginia. . I know nothing about trumpets and don’t know if or how the slide works. Overall, it needs a polish to show its beauty (if you like). You will not be disappointed if you do buy it!
