Vintage hardy alnwick altex no. 2 MKV fishing reel

Description: A very good Altex No.2 Mk V in original condition. Good bail arm turnover. Full length foot. LH wind for Rod in RH. Fitted with anti reverse switch which works as it should. Only the rear patent plate is worn beyond recognition but plays no part in the operation of this reel. See pictures as form part of description. All oil port covers intact. Clutch purrs. A quintessential piece of high quality engineering, Hardy manufacture from the early to middle of the last century. For the collector or use. Assemblers initials J.R.J who was Jack Johnson. Jack is understood to have worked for Hardy's from 1938 to 1966 and worked on the Altex, Exalta, & Elarex. Reason for sale is to start to thin out my collection. Uk Buyers only please. No returns
