Description: This vintage ceramic canister features a hand-painted blue-eyed Santa Claus head with a textured trim hat lid. Measuring 7 inches tall with the lid and approximately 4.75" without, and a diameter of 4.5", the weight is 1 lb 7 oz. The date is incised on the bottom, Dec 1969. This is a wonderful example of handpainted hobbyist ceramic projects that were so popular at this time. This one is very nicely done with a neat and steady hand. There is uniform age-related crazing, along with 3 cracks that have been reinforced with glue, 2 on the canister side, and 1 on the lid. All damage can be clearly seen in the photos.
