Description: Stunning Vintage Colorful Log Cabin Quilt we were told was originally owned by and came from the John Quinney estate, the brother of Electa Quinney. (see below) Beautiful squares of hand-sewn fabric combine to make an extraordinary quilt. All the colors of the rainbow and more with floral, striped, and solid fabric are utilized.Silk, cotton, some wool, velvet, etc. The underside of the quilt is a plain off white cotton fabric. Measures approx. 74" x 64" shown on a queen pillow top bed. Please see all pictures, thanks for looking. Electa Quinney was Wisconsin's first school public school teacherand a member of Wisconsin's Stockbridge-Munsee band of Mohicans. Trained in New York and Connecticut, Quinney came to Wisconsin 1827 following New York's widespread American Indian removal.
