Description: This beautiful antique quilt looks to have been made and hand stitched in maybe the early 1900’s? Based on research books my father collected. He picked up this vintage quilt on one of his weekend trips to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Perhaps Mennonite or Amish made? The edges are machine sewn and I photographed a section to show you. The design in the middle is all hand stitched. It has ear and tear indicative of it age. We never used this in a bed but my father had a textile conservator stitch a Velcro strip along the top to hang this on a wall. It is faded due to that I assume.
