These sporting clubs originated in Germany in the late 1960s, now they are in more than 40 countries worldwide. Also in the lot there is the American Volkssport Association AVA with a few more sports clubs. The events are generally known for the walking hiking events but skiing, swimming, snow shoeing, biking, and occasionally roller-skating could be included.
