Vintage Excellent Stetson 1950s Beaver TWENTYFIVE SilverBelly 7-1/8 & Box?

Description: This Excellent Stetson TWENTYFIVE - Vintage early 1950s - Open Crown (we will custom shape this, read below) Beaver 25 - SilverBelly - Nice Wide 2.75 inch wide brim. HAT BOX IS INCLUDED. IF YOU DO NOT WANT IT PLEASE READ BELOW. ALSO THE PAPER HAT COVER HAS DISINTEGRATED. We tried to save it but it completely fell apart when we went to put it in the box. We will try and find some original tissue paper to place inside the hat box. Apologies but it was so old it just disintegrated into dust after we handled it. The Beaver is extremely soft and pliable. It can easily be “hand-bashed” into any shape in seconds. Those first few pictures shows how easily it is hand bashed. Steaming any shape into this fedora will hold this shapes if you’d like that done please write to us. We took a video but for some unknown reason it’s not attaching to the ad. But we believe that most everyone knows these older vintage Stetsons and how easily hand bashing is. At some point there was a treatment added to this hat. Dad has steamed this so most of that treatment is gone but the brim still seems to have some still on it. We can tell because it’s a bit stiffer than the rest of the hat. So steam shaping the brim is probably the best way to have a fedora brim with that dip in the front. We always try and help our buyers by putting in the extra work to reply to request but if you don’t really intend to buy the hat please please don’t ask to steam shape it if you really don’t intent to buy it. Please. This was steamed into an Open Crown shape ( after taking pictures we could see a faint bit of the original shape still in the front so Dad will steam it again, we will update the picture when it’s done, write to us) and you may write to us and ask it to be custom shaped into an Open Road style or Stratoliner Fedora style. Dad can steam a Telescope crown on this too, just write to ask. Dad and grandson will custom steam shape it for you. We will send pictures for your approval when completed before shipping. Size states 7-1/8 and this actually measures to a perfect 7-1/8, so many times these older vintage Stetson measure a size larger than the size stated but NOT this one. We filled the picture gallery so you can see every detail, we hid NOTHING. You can see a bit of the patina from the copper wire that Stetson and all others used in the leather sweatband, that greenish tint, pictures are included. It doesn’t affect the hat at all. You can see that the hat is from the early 1950 by the “1/8” Key-Hole size tag, the later 1950s size tags would have had “7-1/8” size tag and the liner has that very very thin plastic liner cover.The color is SilverBelly, the older Stetson vintage SilverBelly. The picture of the looking down from the top of the whole hat is the best representation. This is Stetson Beaver TWENTYFIVE and was their BEST hats manufactured at that time! Any new hat that you buy cannot be compared to these original Beaver TwentyFive’s Stetson hats! Note: that the big oval Stetson hat box is NOT available, there were 2 hats inside that box and the other hat will be listed with that hat box. If you don’t want the hat box (the square is the one that goes with this sale) please write to us and shipping will only be $19.20. But that second square Stetson hat box Dad has decided to leave as an optional addition to this purchase. So many folks write to ask to save on shipping and NOT include the hat box. The hat box is still in very good condition with its original hat holding insert set. There is minor paper wear and this is very worthy of storing, displaying and shipping. It’s a great way to keep the hat safe from MOTHS! NOTE: shipping outside the continental USA is with the hat box. We filled the picture gallery so you can see every angle, we hid NOTHING! The beaver is very very soft and thick. This was a highest quality hat manufactured at that time. This is extremely soft and pliable and can easily steamed into any shape or style you desire. Ok now the particulars There is a tag stating size “1/8” tag and this measures to a 7-1/8 at 22-3/8 inches. And like always we measure each hat 3 times using different methods to verify the actual size!
