Vintage Excell 1940s Mallory Beaver 10 Whippet Fedora Brown 7-3/8 & Box? Stetson

Description: Excellent True Vintage Mallory late 1940s to very early 1950s Mallory, Beaver Ten, Brown, Whippet (wide brim) fedora. This was worn but less than a handful of times! Just look at the pictures! We can’t find a thing wrong with this OUTSTANDING Fedora!This is a Perfect Stetson Whippet Clone! The brim though is slightly wider at 2.9 inches instead of 2.6 inches. This is a Beaver Ten. It’s not anything like any newer Beaver Ten but a True Vintage Beaver Ten! It’s extremely soft and pliable!This hat has EVERYTHING you look for in a great hat. This is an excellent near Pristine fedora hat! Rarely found in such great condition! It’s perfectly shaped! It’s a real looker! That wide bound edge really stands out!We know the size tag states 7-1/4 but this is a vintage hat and there was NO hat sizing standardization at that time period. This measures to a PERFECT 7-3/8! Read below.You can see that this is a very very late 1940s (1948-9) or a very early 1950s because there is a thin plastic “Onion Skin” type overlay on the liner. That happened post 1949.This is a Brown color. The pictures of the whole underside is the best representation of the actual color. All the others are coming out to light. We just don’t know why it’s coming out in the pictures as a Brown color? Not sure why we can’t get the color to always come out consistently? Anybody out there has any suggestions?This is out of my son’s hat collection. Dad and Grandson tried to brush it off to clean it but there was NOTHING to clean! It’s near pristine!Just so you know the leather sweatband is completely and securely attached all the way around! The leather has NO breaks, chips or cracks! There are No Moth Bites or Stains on the Beaver! The liner is completely attached and still very clean! Grosgrain ribbon is completely and securely attached with No stains!Note: That Mallory hat box has some very minor wear but it has the original hat holding insert set. One side of the leather strap is missing. But this has its original hat holding insert set. We are leaving the hat box as an optional purchase with this hat. Since so many folks do not want to spend the extra money on the hat box and extra shipping cost, it’s an optional purchase. Dad already has a request from that same hat collector to buy the hat box for $70 plus shipping. These are hard to find in such outstanding condition, along with its original hat holding insert set! You must write to us ( if it’s still available?) and ask to include the hat box, at an extra $80. That includes the extra shipping costs.NOTE: SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL USA is without the hat box. It is expensive to ship.
