Description: A great vintage menu from the Luau Polynesian restaurant which I acquired years ago from the Memphis location. At the time it was the only Polynesian themed restaurant in the city and was owned and operated by the Dobbs House chain. It was located on Poplar Avenue across from East High School (considered "out east" back in those days). There were also locations in Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Birmingham, Dallas, Lexington, Miami and Orlando. The menu is very large measuring 11" x 17" and features very intricate and colorful images throughout along with amazing menu items. The menu is in good shape for its age with usual, but somewhat minor, wear and tear on the cover. The inside pages are in very good condition. The inside of the back cover has some remnants of scotch tape, not sticky in any way but does reveal some browning (see photos). This is a beautiful example of a vintage and rare menu that would be a great addition to a collector or simply a nostalgic item for this old amazing location.
