Description: Vintage Deakin & Francis 1940s Sterling Silver Demitasse Spoons Set of 6 This listing is for a matching set of 6 vintage Deakin & Francis sterling silver demitasse spoons. Based on their hallmark, Mrs. Edna believes that they date to the early 1940s. She hasn't been able to identify the name of the pattern. The spoons have a glossy finish and a simple yet elegant design consisting of converging lines. They are marked on the back with the following: D&F (Deakin & Francis) Anchor symbol (Birmingham) Lion symbol (Sterling) T in a shield (1943) The spoons are in very good pre-owned vintage condition. They were hand polished, washed and dried before being listed in my store. They will be ready to use upon receiving. There are some signs of wear from age, use and storage, which includes but is not limited to scuff/scratch and other small spots/marks. They probably could use a little more polishing too. Approximate measurements: 4-1/2 long x 15/16 across the bowl of the spoon x 7/16 across the widest part of the handle The total weight of the six spoons is approximately 3 ounces (about 80 grams).
