Description: Item Description: CASEY JONES DOME METAL LUNCHBOX from Universal Industries 1960. This incredibly rare R-9 dome is wonderfully designed as a steam locomotive of the L.R. & C.R.R for Landers, Frary and Clark Railroad. This seldom seen box was an unlicensed design for the Casey Jones TV show starring Alan Hale – better known as the skipper on Gilligans Island. A wonderful collectible for the railroad buff – and truly a rare find – especially in this amazing condition! Condition: Dome Lunchbox is complete and correct (including original wire thermos holder). Box lithos are very clean overall with some rubbings on top of dome. Glossy and wet-looking panels on box and side panels. Light rim wear - with no corner dents or dings. The bottom, usually the most damaged on these older vintage domes - has some rubbings. Inside is clean overall with general light rubbings - with no previous owner markings. Box in overall strong C-8 condition. NO THERMOS. From my personal collection – stored carefully in a cool, dry, smoke-free room away from sunlight.
