Description: The Bubble Blowing Boy is a charming vintage windup toy from the 1960's, made in Japan by Marusan Toy. When wound with the captive key, the boy tilts his head forward to dip his bubble wand into the bowl he is carrying. I believe that when new, the toy would actually blow bubbles if there was a soap mixture in the bowl, but that part is no longer working. About 8" tall. The litho is still in very nice, clean condition with just a few scuffs and scratches. Face and figure are in great shape, and so is the bowl - it does not have the rust often seen on many copies. Paint on the bottom of bowl is uneven, probably from runs caused during original manufacture and then touched up while the paint was still wet. Overall a very fun character toy.
